24-Hour Residential Flood Restoration

When pipes break, toilets overflow, rivers rise and roofs leak, you need help now, not tomorrow. That's why UCS offers a 24-hour water extraction service.

Our residential water extraction service is performed in compliance with the Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC) S500 Standard for Professional Water Damage Restoration, and includes the following services:

  • a thorough initial assessment of the damage and optimal repair procedures
  • extraction of water from carpet and flooring using our powerful truck mounted and portable water extraction equipment
  • removal and disposal of wet carpet pad
  • application of mildicide to the subfloor to inhibit the growth of mold and bacteria
  • placement of powerful air movers and dehumidifiers to speed drying and remove ambient moisture from the air in your home
  • monitoring of moisture levels in your home's structure and flooring
  • once the flooded area is dry, laying fresh pad, reinstalling your carpet and then steam cleaning it to make it look like new

If you have a flood in your home, we recommend taking the following steps:

  • Call UCS immediately. We'll be at your home in minutes to help.
  • Turn off the electrical breaker. Unplug and remove all small electrical devices that are in contact with wet carpet.
  • Place aluminum foil under legs of wood furniture in contact with wet carpet. This both protects the furniture and prevents the furniture stain from penetrating and damaging the carpet.
  • Place draperies on coat hangers and hang on rod.
  • Pin up upholstered furniture skirts.
  • Remove potted plants in contact with the carpet.
  • Remove books, shoes, paper goods (especially newspapers) and anything else that may stain the carpet. Check under beds and in closets.
  • Remove any furniture items to prevent rust or other stains and expedite restoration work.
